Another story - Pampered girl

haha..so long never blog then suddenly have soo many stories to tell.

K. This too happened in Hostel.

There is this Indian girl - Veronica, from Kedah, same age. Came into KDU a month earlier than us. So, practically speaking, she is still considered our senior. Since everyone is new and they all of cuz dowan cari pasal ma..so, everybody treated her nicely and all. But then one thing everyone noted, non of the seniors are talking to her.

So, the first day staying in hostel, everybody got excited. Then comes the nightmare. The second day. Ya, forget to mention that she stayed in the same apartment with 3 other girls in my class, Gee, Syah and Aznin.

Yea the second day, she knocked on eveybody's door early in the morning aroung 6am or 7am and wake everyone up. That day, class at 2pm, of ppl wan sleep kau kau ma. It seems that she knocked on the door till u open up the room door and the longer she knock, the harder and louder the sound gets.

Third day, Her class in the afternoon, but then at 7am, she called Gee and said, bangun dan tolongkan i make up dan dandan rambut!! Gee has no choice but to help. It seems that, she chooses a shocking pink blusher and red lipstick and purple eye shadow. She wore green outfit and a blue hairclip. My fren were like, mampus lo warna warni dia ni!

Then everyone tot she went to college early, but then she was spotted waiting for the bus since morning and took the 12 noon bus. And she always kacau the guard, by asking wat time does the bus come and blah blah blah. Even the guard dun like her...can u imagine that??

So, the next morning, she called everyone's hp again and this time, no one wants to pick up her call..haha. And, there's once, she knocked on Syah's door, hard and long and loudly then say, ada cicak dalam bilik i la!

There's one time, hostel tak ada electricity. from 6.30pm till 3 am. So, everyone went outside the hostel area n berborak. Then she was alone cuz no ones wanna tok to her then there's this moment where she was walking then she ter-fell into the longkang (very very very shallow ones, its a baby longkang i call it) then she got up, then she saw syah and aznin walking towards her direction, she "fell in" again then scream for help and said kaki tak boleh gerak

Then the rest came and the person in charged of the hostel called bomba and the bombe said not very serious, probably terseliuh saja. Then Veronica says wanna call mummy, then the hostel warden lend her his phone then she complain mummy, the people here bully me. i fell into the drain and no one was helping me. They laugh at me...

The rest were like WTH??!!? din help?? wat do u mean? didnt the bomba came? and the mother ordered the warden to bring her daughter to the doctor immediately! Then Veronica cried and complain some other things to her mum as if she is damn kau kesian liddat...

Few days later, she went around and walked a lot. The doctor said dun move so much then now her leg bengkak liao... so she cried and called her dad and the dad told the warden that he wanna sue him and the rest of the house mate for being not nice to his daughter... he's gonna sue KDU as well it seem. Well, people lawyer ma.. suka suka then sue.

So, next month, the parents coming and warden asked the rest to help him out in telling the father that his daughter is the one kacauing people (btw, warden did told this to the mother and the mother says my daughter very good wan, she wont do these things)...

So, lets wait for September...nyek nyek

another story - Kampung girl

This happens in the hostel. Told to me by the others..

There's this girl, her name was Ros and she's in the Kitchen Practice Module and she too stays in Hostel in Kota Damansara.

It seems like, she originated dari KAMPUNG..but then hor, she, going round the globe and started to judge others and calling other kids (from probably small town) BUDAK KAMPUNG!!
F.Y.I, the malays dun like to be called kamoung. It offended them a lot! Ppl from kampung of cuz act kampungly la.. so u can actually imagine how much the others dislike her...

So, one of the fine evening, the HIAS ppl, they are now good frens and so, somehow this fine day EVEYONE went dinner together..one whole big bunch of them. Then this Ros acted kampungly again. Then later when someone else did something she commented and all the others kenot tahan liao then whole bunch together gether sambil critic her sambil eat...

critic nvm u know, wat's worst is that, say her stuff out luod in front of her!!! wasai, if only i am in her state, i would pack my bag immediately and go home!! damn kau malu man!!!

Another story - English Class

All HIAS student has to attend english class.
Even if you can speak better than President Bush or can oyu write better than Shakespeare u are still required to attend. So, students from ALL MODULES will have to sit thru the 2 hours english class by Miss Leeann..

Sad to tell that this is already my 3rd week in KDU, one more month to go.. Well, last week, no english so this week we had our very first english class and surprised to see that, many actually din turn up. Earlier said, all malays, only few chinese and few indians and i am too surprised to know that i AM THE ONE AND ONLY who can speaking and understand english. POOR MISS LEEANN...

Miss: well i actually like u guys a lot tho u ppl dun know much english..
Miss: u all have been very attentive and i like it!
Miss: Do u know wat is attentive??

Story of a Hero

Allow me to tell you something bout this Hero..

Ahem..

Everyone in my class hated room 2.15, even Miss Ong. Reason: because it is VERY cold!!
K..the room can probably fit 20 students only (yes, it's small) and the air-conditional--centralised!! So you can actually imagine the cun breeze..

Every Wed, class held in room 2.15 so u can see most of the people in my class would wear long sleeve or thick la..even Miss Ong, she will mostly turn up in formal wear which is thick which she think can keep her feeling warm in the cold room, but to her disappointment.

In the room there is this MAIN HOLE, where the cold air come forth and Miss Ong's place is just right underneath it and she hated that. Many a times she wanted to stuck the hole a a piece of cloth to keep herself away from chill.

Somehow, she complain complain and the maintainance ppl somehow like ignore her complain lo..and that fruz her a lot! So, there's this time where we actually held our class out side the class, some where near the lift, where there's some benches and a table..

there's this girl in my class, somehow, thinking that that at THAT day, class held in the Front Office Room so, she, being smart, wore a halter top with a skirt =) and somehow, the FO Room is occupied and we have no other choice but to use the cold cold room and everyone feels cold even before going into the room..

So, class started and for not even 5 minutes, everyone lost their concerntration liao BECAUSE THE ROOM IS VERY VERY COLD!!!! but this special girl i call her, somehow, sat right underneath the main hole where the air cond flows out and she feels nothing but nice..nyek nyek

sad to mention, that special girl is me! nyek nyek...

miss ong says, very good nicole. u can always stay in cold countries.. surely eat a loy of cat meat or dog meat..that why u are not feeling what other are feeling..

but hack, i only ate dog meat ONCE in my life..when i was really young..which was about, 10 years ago.. how can those meat last for sooo damn long??

Clinique beauty Seminar @ KDU

Clinique had a campus beauty roadshow at campuses and a couple days ago they came to KDU hehe. The purpose, well of course is to promote their brand to us youngsters and also to teach us the proper way to cleanse face and make up.

Lucky me cuz the so-called beauty seminar is only open to Hospitality Diploma students and B.A Diploma students. Somehow the Hospitality Head asked us HIAS students if we are interested to attend the seminar and somehow Miss Ong Make it a compulsary for us to attend:

Below are the teachings and advices:-

Face Cleansing
Clinique says, firstly know your skin type. In clique, there are 4 skin types

1. Dry all over the face - your skin feels sensitive, tight and uncomfortable.
2. Oily T-Zone - meaning comfortable to oily on the forehead and nose area and your cheek region is dry
3. Combination Oily- skin is comfortable on the cheeks area and oily at T-zone.
4. Oily all over the face.

Mine's type 3. So wat's yours??

Firstly, according to the Clinique experts, Toner doesn't really give you the close pores effect as claimed. Well, thinking back, its true, cuz pores seem to be closed only to an extend and it is not refine enough to achieve invisiblely small pore.

So, they say, must do the basic 3 step cleansing. Of course wat we know was, cleansing, toning and moisturizing. But in Clinique, they have cleansing, exfoliating lotion and moisturizer.

As everyone knows the use of a cleanser but the clarifying lotion, according to them, it helps to exfoliate the dead cells on the surface of the skin and it helps the skin to look brighter cuz the dead skin cell is muddy and dull in colour so with its existance it will make ur skin look lifeless..as a result, your skin can breath more and feel freer and have better absorbtion.

Well, to have great looking skin, the main ingredient, or the magic potion is actually the moisturizer. Even though your skin is Superly oily like Saudi Arabia or any other middle east countries, you will still need to apply moisturizer!

A great cleanser can wash off the dirts effectively. And a good moisturizer can help to beutify your skin THAT WHY U MUST KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE!! so that the moisturizer work best on the skin. And one more thing..the dermalogist believes that a soap and water work best in cleaning face and of course a bar of soap with right 'ingredient' for the skin.

Scrubing face. Help to extract and exfoliate dead cells. Guy's skin are thinker than girls therefore they need more beads in the scrub compared to girls. So girls dont scrub your face using a man's facial scrub! If you have a dry and sensitive skin, look for a scrub with gentle scrubing beads and in cream form.

*black and white heads. According to the dermalogists, U CANNOT get rid of black heads. Reason: when you do extraction, the black head will come out (of course) and wat is left behind on your skin?? A HOLE!! and the hole will not close up. Then your oil sebum will produce oil and then the dirts in the air will get trapped in the hole then got bacteria so few days later, you will have black heads AGAIN in the same HOLE!! But, you can always prevent it by doing the extraction then keep the hole clean then close the hole with a pore minimizer! =)

MAKE UP! (k guys, u can skip this part)

According to the Clinique Make Up Artist, It is important to find a good foundation and the colour must be closest to your skin colour so that you will not look like a birthday cake if its too light to your tone nor will you look like a brownie if the colour is too dark for your skin tone.

To test the shades, do it at your jaw line, not at the back of your hand or anywhere else! Cuz Jaw line has the nearest tone as your skin. And while applying foundation, use fingers will give best effect. Flesh against flesh. And you can always apply at your eyelid area and even your lips as a foundation works as a base and it helps to even up your skin.

After foundation, next will be the loose powder.Loose powder helps the foundation to do its work better. It also help to hold and last the make up longer. Same trick, apply it with finger. Powder them a little on your finger then apply a thin layer over the face. Use the brush to sweep away the access powders on the face. When putting make up use loose powder, but when touch up then use compact powder!




Next, Eye Shadows. Must Use AT LEAST 3 SHADES. Light, dark and darker. Light shade for all over the lid, till your brow and the darkest shade at the bottom of the lid. Reason: We are Asian, and Asian have FALT EYES unlike the westerners or eurasian n etc where their eyes haves depth. So, the diff shades creates contour to the eyes lids and therefore gives you an attractive eyes.

Trick, use finger also cuz can get better effect. At the end, sweep it with brush. Eyelining, A crayon eyeliner is oil base therefore you will need to dust a little same shade eye shodow on it (powder absorbs oil). Cuz oil melts when heated, so, the oil in the eyeliner will melt as it comes to noon and the colour will come out of the position and make you look like a panda. Mascara are not meant to be share. Remember that!

Brows. First, shape your brow according to the natural arch of your brow. They did not teach or elaborate more so if you wanna shape, go to the expert to do it =) But they advise, draw your brow using an angle brush and eye powder as they are easier to use and if there is any mistakes can be amended easily. Unlike eyebrow pencil. they are dark and once draw wrongly, gone are your brows. They say: use eye pencil only when you are and expert!

When you draw your brows, dont start from the head of the brow but the begining of the arch of your brow. The head is darker than the end so it is unnecessary to colour the start of the brow. Choose a colour closest to the colour of your brow hair.

Blush. The blush area should be only confine a small area. get sweet shades that suit your skin tones. Now pink is the trent. Blush area: Before the end of your nose, not a cross the end of your iris, and dont go all the way up to your brow, just before the end of your eyes will do.

Lips. Must use lip pencil as it will help to hold your lip colour in position and refine and emphasice your lip shape. Pick the colour closest to your lipstick. Draw not only the outer ring of your lip but the entire lips. Then put on the Lipstick. Apply lipgloss for better finishing. The trick: There are 3 ways of applying lipstick or gloss, directly with the lipstick or with fingers or with a brush. Apply with a brush will make it nicer.

And they advice, GIRLS, start this early, do this when you're still young. USE SUNBLOCK WHENEVER AND WHEREVER YOU GO!!! Sun rays are harmful to the skin and we human are exposed to the sun since the day we are born. Since the day we came forth from our mother's womb, our skin started to absorb the rays and it can never go off. According to the researches and surveys, 90% of aging is caused by sunrays and only 10% are natural cause.

So, the rays will accumulate and thats why our mother has wrinkles, crinkles, brown spots, dark spots, pigmentations n etc... because at their age, the rays accumulated has reach its peak. =). If you go no where special, just staying in office liddat, then SPF 15 is enough but if like go skol, shopping n all then SPF 30, if go camping n etc then SPF 50 and above depending on the activities la..

CLASS CANCELLED

Yeah...
the IMI ppl coming. Lecturers from Swizz, canada n etc coming so Miss Ong was assigned by the principle to teman the ladies go shopping in KL. Since its sale season.. Thats y no class.

In case u dunno, IMI stands for International Hotel Management Institute ( If i'm not wrong) and the head quarter is located in Swizerland. Of course they have branches all over the earth, except malaysia but KDU is acting sorta like their, tuition centre la...

So, i called Mr. David Hong since he's having holiday as well and he owe me lunch hehe.. so he then called jeat yieng then 3 of us went lunch in SS2. PJ dudes, shud know this place - The Red Colour Restaurant, selling noodles wan.. the one beside Prince Cafe.. sorry la, i dunno wat its called. hehe..

Jeat Yieng says she vegetarian liao, kenot eat meat. Hong n i tot she was just joking cuz both of us remembered seeing ehr eating meat last year in high skol... then later, after looking thru the menu then only she say haiyo, theres nothing here that i can eat!! (cuz all ada daging)

JY: eh i really dunno what to eat la..
me: wanna change venue??
hong: ya la. we care for you too. takan wan u look at both of us eat meh?
me: ya l.
JY: nvm la. I guess just get me a vegetarian shark fin soup will do.

The food was rather fast, and its fresh, and its warm.. i dun mind eating there again just that it was quite hard to decide the drinks cuz the name is..weird. But then when the bill comes, it appears to be RM 49.66. For just 2 noodles and a bowl of sharkfin soup and 3 drinks. plus tax la..

Then jeat yieng ajak go cyber play O2 jam.. but hong dun let..

It was 1.45PM when we decided to go over to 1U. Then lepak lepak. Then Kai ying called jeat Yieng then she ditches me n hong. ish ish. So, he send me back to DJ. Before that, we turned to SS2 buy McFlurry haha..then saw brian they all at indomee mamak haha..

there goes my day. went back home. Wash toilet. hehe..

K First of all. Today, Monday, class should be started at 9am and in formal clothing. Me, linda, aznin, Syah, Mohamed (class rep) and yan yan came earlier and waited outside the Front Office Room at third floor (in front of the photocopy shop). We were quite excited in a way, cuz first time wear so formal..and we were asking each other oh i nampak ok tak?? messy tak i punya rambut?? kasut i tak match ngan suit i la.. and all the stuff la. u know. GIRLS.

I was 8.55 am and we see no one coming. So, aznin called the rest. And guess wat? they are still in the hostel!! the 7 of them! they missed the hostel bus it seems. K. If one misses the bus, understood. But dun tell me ngam ngam all 7 of them coincidentally missed the hostel bus?!?! so, we figure that they pakat to miss bus together.

Miss Ong came at sharp 9am. She looked surprise. of cuz la. half of the class is not here yet. So, she told us to eat breakfast at cafeteria and she'll start the class at 10. So, we went cafe makan. Then i over heard the other girl's conversation that they dont really like the other girls.. ya la. they gossip gossip la. i hear a bit only cuz i saw teing and hwey then went talk to them. hehe...

Ya, teing and hwey. remember the girl with puff up hair like me?? that's Aznin and the other bigger size wan is Shah and the smaller size and with spec wan is Linda. hehe.. By the time i went back to seat the gossip session ended. haha..


K. Then at 9.50, we spotted the others. So, we went up to the class together and the "hot chicks", aznin call them..went lepak in toilet and went in to the class late for 5 minutes and 29 seconds. In a way, we the good pupils kesian Miss Ong..and kesian ourselves oso for having such ppl in the class. ish ish

Then in class, the hot chicks feeling sleepy and some fell asleep. Then since this is our first day in formal wear, so, Miss Ong pass her grooming skills to us and she too commented on all of us. She told me to take good care of my face. dun over cleanse my face cuz in front office, people are very particular with your face and body tahts why we have to groom. And everyone is in make up. only me, i dun give a damn, just apply a layer of mascara. Haha, usuall i apply 2 or 3 layers.. Oh ya, she too say, wear small studded earrings..

class went on as usual. Then Miss Ong says, Wed class off!!! woohooooo... but then later she added, have to ganti back on saturday. 10am. * sad. Then to my surprise, english class cancelled. And i'm the last one to found out and i'm the only one brought english text to college. ish ish..damn pai seh

Went to cafe lepak a bit then the class rep mr mohamed catch up with us then sit down then tok tok. then i dawn upon me that i haven finish my last dialogue and have to pass up today..so i rushed the work then at the end, i put a note. "Done by, Nicole." Mohamed ask, u tak ada group member kah? Then i say ada tapi i pun tak jumpa dia orang. So tak discuss. Yang ini i buat sendiri so tulis la nama sendiri saje.. U mean u buat ini semua seorang diri and no member pun yang contrubrute?? ya la.. dia orang..aiya i pun tak tau la..And then i write another copy then aznin ask, kenapa buat lagi? can yang satu lagi dah ok?? Then i reply "oh, itu untuk group member yang lain. buat apa nak buat satu set lagi untuk dia orang yang tak buat kerja?? kan ni u buat all by yourself?!?! Buat apa juga nak tulis dia orang punya nama kalau mereka tak contrubutekan apa apa..dia orang tu ingat u apa?? homework maid? dia orang tu bayar u ke untuk butakan homework untuk dia?? tak kan?? so, listen to me, just write your name and let them die. let Mis Ong come after them tats all!!!

Wasai she say that time damn bengang. I think she is seriously damn ng sun with them ahahaa... So, i only write my name then pass up to Mr.M then he said k. macam ni je la. i kesian you.. group yang lain ok tak?? i tak tau la, should be ok la. Gee (the sabah girl, her name was Fauziah) sakit so dia tak buat i tak blame her la.. tapi yang satu lagi..i kesian kat u la.


muahahaaa....can i say i have back up liao. i am gonna ask Miss Ong to change group member.

The reason why i did not attend clo's granny's sitting session..

After church service.

dad: old ur head la. where got old.
me: admit it la dad.. haiyo.
brother and sister: *woke up. *slimbering..ya lo ya lo. daddy old edi ah..
brother: peng ah..all your fault la. faster get ur lisence la haiyo. i kenot tahan slow driving anymore la..

how old i dunno.. but i guess i'm one of the last in the gang to know bout it.. yea i'm always the last to know about things...ish ish

Assignments

I tot 7 weeks of studies tak ada assignments and examination. But miss Ong decided to treat us like any other college student and wanted us to have the feel of stress n etc.

K. First assignment. role play ( directing the guest to certain places) and research on the hospitality law...

First one was really easy, well we've been doing that since primary. But the second one, Miss ong gave us some situationa nd asked us to go to library and find out the acts acts thingy and solve the problem..

My group member. One from sabah, another from Seremban. I have to read the metarials and explaine it in Malay to them. No need say of course the first one i do la..i kenot tahan weird 'grandma'..not saying mine very good la..

The seconf law assignment.sigh...they went to the library after class and crack their haed and answer all by themselves. Without relating the laws n all.. answers all based on wat they think its right. Wasai, if liddat, then miss ong ask us do research for fun meh?!!?!?!

Then the sabah girl commented, Dia (meaning me nicole yong ;) )punya otak sangat tajam! so i answer back.. tak ada la..saya punya otak bulat la...

Then stayed in library for not longer than 1 hour, then everyone cabut liao. Fine. Meaning i will have to do the work all by myself lo..
Then next day, presentation day. The Sabah was sick and left only the otw of us. Then i passed the scripts to the seremben girl and she started to show me dissatisfactory faces as she read through it.

Days in college

i remember when i went to KDU enquiring Hotel Management course with the counsellor, he told me there's 4 modules and each modules has 5 subjects, excluding LAN subjects. Somehow, when i get my timetable, guess wat, i have only 2 subjects, thats english and reception technique =)

my timetable:

Monday: 9am-11am ; 12noon-2pm (HIAS English)
Tuesday: 2pm - 5 pm
Wednesday: 2 pm - 5 pm
Thursday: 9am -11am
Friday: 10 am -11am; 12noon - 1 pm

damn relax...

: HIAS English = Miss Leeann

My class, has only 12-15 pupils. with only 2 malay guys and 2 chinese girls. The rest all are malay girls. And i'm the one and only girl who DID NOT put anything dust or ink on my face.. just plain and simple.. =)


And ya, lecturer says, Every Monday and thursday will be formal day. Means we will have to wear former on that day. FORMAL. as in wearing only black and white.. must even wear court shoes, no heels or any crap shoes.

Ya one more thing..haha...not to boast myself la but thats wat really happened. In english class, Miss Leeann asked us to interview our frens and then introduce them in front of the class.

Somehow the people there, are all shy. and their english..typical maly english..and know what lecturer says?? i'm surprised that everyone of u can communicate well in english.

first day, dun say la, sure no class wan. lecturer asked to intro this and that, ask this and that. second day, Miss Ong told us to take turn to read the text.. i a litle lucky, cuz when its my turn then she gave us 10 mins break then after break she read the text herself.

K back to student reading. One of the malay girl, dunno how to pronounce 'conceirge'. Fair enough. But the word, 'uniformed', guess whow she read it???

KDU - Registration and Orientation day

After the 3 days training, KDU asked to go back to college for registration and orientation.

I was a little smart. I tot the classes will be warm or not cold..so put on a sleeveless shirt and a short skirt..there i am in the LHG room at 9am

to my surprise, most of the students are guys. There's only 5 chinese. 2 guys 3 girls. and most of the puplis there chooses either Food & Beverage Service (F&B) or Kitchen Training. So far i see only a handful took the front office module.

The head of department briefed us and we were given 4 sets of contract to be signed. Yea..when the hea,d Mr Syahrizal was explaining, i started to feel the breeze of the air cond.. gosh... its getting horrible and i really hope he would just let us go off early..

According to Syahrizal, only 49 people out of over 100 candidates was accepted in the HIAS program. Oh ya, i finally know HIAS stands for - Hotel Industry Apprenticeship Scheme. and guess wat?? i'm one of them lol...

Then he says, the scheme is under Kementerian Belia Sukan.. and they are giving RM230.00 pocket money..and the sponsored hotel giving RM 150.00 and KDU giving RM50.00.. permonth la..takan per day rite..haha.. but KDU that 50 bucks, they give only when u are studying in KDU, after ur studies there then no more..

We were forced to intro ourselves to every1 there...and Swiss Garden KL and A'Famosa absorb quite a number of people..only 3 fella going Hilton *proud and i'm the only one doing front office in Hilton, the other 2 going kitchen.

Yea..basically..nothing much la. Only the people there, all from outstation, so their dressing is really simple. Even if we, KL folks wears simple simple, probably just a tee and jeans and a sport shoe, to them, the orang desa, our dressing is very nice.. (understand kah?)..its the way we match our clothes u know.. Not saying they dunno how to dress up la, but probably KL ppl are more..vain i would say.

and one more thing..they all orang desa, their clothes are really simple. To them, as long as its comfortable, colour not faded then can edi... But we, City folks, sigh...MUST have either Nike or Adidas sport shoe, MUST have at least a pair of Levi's jeans, MUST have A MNG tee... we somehow care more bout the brand than the comfort..but one thing la, u pay more for something, its obviously more comfortable wan lo....

Training at Hilton - Day 1

Aihz.. lazy wanna wake up.
The KDU ppl called me and says i will have to report in Hilton PJ for a 3 days training. Be there at sharp 9 and go to the HR office.

K..i struggle n struggle till someone powerful in the house shouted at me n scolded me to get out of mt warm cozy bed. It rained last night and it was just a too very perfect morning to sleep. Aihz..

K..since i'm cold n lazy, so din bath..don even plan to brush my teeth but thinking of the training and wanted to give hilton ppl a good impression of me, gotta force myself to touch the frezzing cold water...

I couldn't make up my mind wat to wear. Yes. Girls are vain. Changed my clothing dunno how many times edi till mother got sooo fruz at me and choose me a set. haha...Formal. I reached there at sharp 9. Phiew.. tot the traffic jam will kill me but thank god that i made it just on time.

I tot i would be the last one to be there but surprisingly there are sommor ppl came later. waited and made frens of cuz, all guys only me one girl, the one n only chinese girl, the rest are either malay or indian guy. N i'm the youngest cuz all of them are 19 but me, hardly 18 yet.

Made frens la of cuz..cuz have to show them that i am outgoing la, like to meet ppl la, sporting la, frenly la n etc etc etc..One of ht eindian guy asked me, u dun smile how to do front desk???
MCB u la i dun smile..u tot i like u ar?? owiz smile for nothing.. ppl here a little nervous ma haiyo. I must control myself!! or else will laugh like dunno wat so poh liddat...

K then, Miss Jamie gave us a tour around Hilton. Appareantly, they have have a staff canteen, a rest room specially for staff and a computer room only for staff. This is the place where the staff can rest, sleep and relax themselves during their break time. There's a 40 inches LCD TV, with Astro and the comps ada internet punya haha..

Then we were brought to the housekeeping area and given uniform. Mine was dark blue with a little gold emboidery at the side of the collar. Surprizingly they have my size. know y?? cuz urs truly here is not the smallest. There are summor ppl smaller than me *chest puff up..

Then Miss Jamie gave us our respective nametag and a trainee tag and a locker key. The locker is kinda big..can put a lot of things. But before this i was told by the Security Manager not to keep anything attractive in the locker n not to trust in people here.

K then i was brought to the front office punya back office.. then meet up with the asst manager miss geetha, and she then told me to assist her in her paper works. The sales figure...very very easy wan la of cuz.. she then tells me to do the follwing things

-hair must tie bun

-face must make up. put lipstick n eye shadow, with little bit of blusher.

-wear black stocking

-go to housekeeeping area and ask them for a pair of black shoes.

I gotta stand by the counter for 8 damn hours. And the black shoe i got from the housekeeping dept, is damn hard with no padding inside the sole.. torturing.

Yea.. did i mention bout the free meals?? The Hotel is feeding me for free..5 star hotel food. Can eat as much as i like... breakfast, lunch, teabreak, dinner, supper..all no need pay. but of cuz, u dun expect them to give ya lotsa variety like wat they serve in their restorant.. not much of choices la, still can choose... =)

Training at Hilton - Day 2

Today, work morning shift.

K there are 3 shifts.

Morning (7am to 3 pm)
Afternoon (3pm to 11 pm)
Night (11pm to 7 am)

So, woke up at 5 in the morning. Take my sweet time in make up-ing.. GOSH, i suck in lining my eye line...especially when i need to dust eye shadow on my eye lids.. I din really listen to Miss Geetha as i wore lip gloss instead of lip stick. Well, i'll be meeting lotsa macho guys n u dun expect me to make myself look like auntie ma.. rite anot?!?!!

So, there's briefing. There's always briefing whenever changing shift. I dun understand a thing.. Then Miss Geetha asked me, good u did everything i told u too but ur lips...i see no colour. Then i told her lo, that i put colour lipgloss then she says "no. I says lipstick". Then she asked one of her girls to colour my lips using the night shift's asst manager's auntie colour lipstick. Then everyone says i look nice. But i dun like. to me i look really like pasar malam barbie doll...

Yea. I miss out one thing. Somehow people there dun think i am a chinese. Some say i am sabahan those native, some thinks i am thai, some says i am northern malays ( kelantan n terengganu)... Do i look that not chinese?!?!?!?!!? ish ish

People in the front office is damn nice. Friendly, and funny. The chief bellman, Mr Zul and miss geetha are 'enemies'..owiz argue and shoot each other... damn funny when they quarrel.. Miss Geetha is nice. She taught me some of the procedure when checking in n out the customer n she told me to smile ALWAYS. not happy oso smile. happy smile oso. angry oso smile. the guest very yong sui must also smile. phew..tough job!

Yea. I at first dunno Mr. Zul's name. So i refer him as uncle botak. So, this actually gives Miss Geetha another chance to 'attack' Mr. Zul haha.. damn cute.. Yea. One thing. Today, eat spagetti. Seafood spagetti. hehe.. the sotong ring..damn big. then the tomato paste got prawns summor.. then mushroom soup..wasai, damn wangi.. i eat damn a lot. hehe

There's a girl took HIAS oso. so, i ask some stuff bout HIAS. And it seems like, after HIAS, her pay was 1200 then this is her second year working in hilton and she's getting 1600 per month. well, not quite bad la the salary part... hehe.. and at the same time, my korea manager, i just found out that he is actually a china man. From Hokkien province.

Training at Hilton - Day 3

Today, morning shift.

after briefing then get back to work. this time, Miss Geetha asked me to stick with some other seniors and get them to teach me something..something ke-le-fe la...

Today, found out that there's new director. DO they call him. Means Director of Operation. Well, he's here on the first of august, together with me but haven seen him before. But today, He did his jalan jalan around the hotel. Peter Lucas is his name. And today, saw him..finally. British boy, 27 years old only miss geetha says.

Wasai..if get to goda him then i mampus lo...lol haha.. he has a great smile.. blue eye..REALLY BLUE KIND!! I was sitting down at the front office ounya back office..writing something for miss geetha then he came in then look at me then smile..wasai...

Then after lunch, yea..lunch time ate asam laksa..not spicy n sour...so to me not that nice... k back to after lunch. After lunch, stood at the reception counter as usual then there's this british guy checking out... damn yeng wei... everyone at the other counter also cant concerntrate at their work (girls la)..kept staring at him only.. haha... he has the height and the body.. the face also... wasai...

I love working here man! damn lotsa of chai to kap haahahahah...
