Transport mode: BUS. FERRY. and our very own pair of legs. 8hrs of bus ride. so called 45mins of ferry, but on the way back, was only 20mins... that fella sped and our boat smoked many other boats.. it went REAL fast... REAL HIGH SPEED.... O.o
Basically the island is not much developed... unlike Redang or Tioman. It's more kampung-ish style.. And the so-called-high-class-resort/hotels.. to me, its sama taraf as redang's 3star resorts.
The place we stayed, i suppose tak ada bintang langsung!(as in the rating) haha...
First night yung and i stayed in a chalet, then next day when the rest reach we set up tents!
And one thing, big fat juicy brainless mosquitoes are everywhere at all time!! freaking annoying...
Beaches. AH... like edwin said, this is the saddest beach i've ever been. Because the shores are short.. even the Long Beach is er.. i think about 500 meter long? If you're staying at Perhentian Besar probably u'll get to enjoy white sandy beaches, but not at Perhentian kecil, cuz mostly are dead corals.
Activities. Basically we snorkelled everyday haha. Woke up at 7am for snorkelling..cuz wanna see sharks!! (somehow they seldom show face after morning) In the afternoon was lower tide, so not really nice to snorkel cuz nothing much to see...
We went Turtle trip as well...cuz jenn yung's a big fan of turtle!
There's an incident where i was snorkelling, saw turtle swimming up to the surface to grab some air... i chased after it lah haha... swim swim.. *BHAM*... i knocked my head against a boat! Damn pain... Thank God it was the BODY [flat and hard].. not the front part (it was sharp) or the engine part...
Sorry lah especially Jenn Yung! I didnt mean to kick you while swimming and causing you to drink salt water. Speaking bout salt water, Perhentian kecil's water is saltier than Perhentian Besar's water hahaha...
Actually lah, to me, the place we stayed at wasnt that bad. cause, right behind, there another 2 beaches. One called Turtle Bay, it's just 5 mins jungle trek...another called Adam & Eve's beach, 20mins jungle trek...
Food. Errr.. well lunch wasnt nice at all. It taste flat, thanks to the salt water. But dinner is alright. I remember on my third day of the trip, was tired, dun feel like eating, but yung forced me with some rice and char-siew-look-alike-beef. It's called D'Lagoon Special Rice (or something like taht)...
Last night there, we had 'BBQ' night! And guess what, we bbq only potatoes hahha... cuz there we couldnt buy chicken or any form of meat...not even from the near by village.. and i had er..4 POTATOES!!!! freak... almost everyone bought beer and im not allowed to drink =( twins (especially teing) says kenot drink.. even EDWIN dun allowed me to drink.. how sad
Oh oh oh.. not to forget to mention haha.. we saw them serving customers parrotfish!!! those we saw on our snorkelling trip!!! and they are charging RM 50 for that!!!! untung sial....
Seafood noodle/rice = catch of the day = sotong everyday =)
I have only spent RM160!!! can you believe it!?!?! the amount i spent there was much lesser than the amount i spent (and will spend) at One Utama!!!!
